Pilates uses exercises & stretches to re-balance body. It promotes good posture through proper breathing and physical correctness

Alexander Technique is a practical method for consciously improving how we use ourselves in routine and performance activities. It helps in maintaining good health and avoiding accidents through better control, coordination, balance and poise. An introduction to Alexander Technique can be obtained in group sessions, but most of the learning is achieved during individual sessions.

Baby Massage Learn how to massage your baby on a five week course. Baby ages preferably between birth and 1 year, classes are small - six parents with babies. Each week the parent/s will learn how to massage a different part of their baby's body. By the end course the parent/s will be able to give their baby a full body massage. The classes are relaxed and babies are welcome to express themselves in any way the feel during massage, crying is absolutely allowed and there is no need to feel concerned if your baby is vocal during classes.

The team:

Silvia Gray is a teacher of Pilates matwork and of Alexander Technique. Her work aims to improve coordination, flexibility and quality of movement, in exercise and daily activities.She is a member of the Society of Teachers of the Alexander Technique and of the Pilates Foundation UK.

Ellen Ernstzen trained in Pilates for rehabilitation in 2001. She is fully trained and certified to teach the full Pilates repertoire using apparatus and mat work. She has done further training in Pilates for women’s health, osteoporosis and low back pain. She is registered with “Polestar Pilates” based in the USA. Her special interest is low back pain. Her classes are suitable for those who find exercising more challenging due to pain or weakness or medical conditions such as arthritis and osteoporosis.

Emma Bellairs BSc(Hons) Ost Med graduated from Southampton University with a degree in sport and health science and then went on to train as an osteopath at the British College of Osteopathic Medicine; she has a keen interest in sports injuries and structural osteopathy. She is a qualified Pilate’s instructor and often incorporates this into her osteopathic treatment and rehabilitation.

Carole Barnes is a certified baby massage teacher with International Association of infant Massage. (IAIM). She has been qualified in infant massage since 1999 and is a holistic therapist concentrating in the field of baby massage.
